Our Foundation
When you work with T and G Roofing, you can count on our regular and flat roof repair and installation expertise that dates to 1978. We know the ins and outs of the roofing industry and what it takes to install a quality roof that will stand the test of time.
In 1978, Tommy Scherer (T and G Roofing owner and CEO) began his career as a contractor for roofing companies in Hollywood, California. For more than five years, he oversaw all roofing delivery and worked as a hands-on roofing contractor. Then, in 1983, Tommy took the test to become a roofing contractor. After passing on his first try, he founded T and G Roofing and worked closely with manufacturers of hot tar and shingles.
While attending the annual Roofers Convention in Las Vegas in 2005, Tommy learned about single ply roofing. For three years, he researched single ply and discovered it outperformed traditional hot tar roofing.
Recognizing how this product would transform the industry and flat roof repair, Tommy established a relationship with Versico, the leader in single ply roofing products. In 2007, the foreman and crew began installing high-quality, single ply roofs. After several successful jobs, T and G Roofing officially transitioned from traditional hot tar roofing to single ply.
With their home office in California, T and G Roofing recently opened a second location in Tampa, Orlando, and Central Florida to expand their reach and are excited to bring high-quality commercial roofing solutions to another region of the country.

We use high-quality materials on every job and stay up to date with the latest styles and industry techniques. Our roofing crews have over 15 years of general roofing experience and more than 13 years of single ply experience. And we are fully licensed, insured, and bonded.
